Animals
There are many animals and fruits described in these folktales. Many times it is difficult to translate them in Hindi language so their original word has been given in footnotes of the story. Still a list of all the names of animals mentioned in the folktales with their Hindi words used in their translations are given here for reference.

1 – Chipmunk – Chipmunk is a type of squirrel with stripes mostly found in North America.
2 – Cougar – The cougar, also known as the mountain lion, puma, panther, painter, mountain cat, or catamount, is a large cat
3- Gertrude – Black woodpecker normally found in Norway
4 – Grasshopper – is of dull color but can change its color, while Praying Mantis is of mostly of bright green color. Although both look quite different but in Hindi both are called Tiddaa
5 – Hare vs Rabbit – Hare is much bigger than Rabbit, with longer ears and black markings on their fur. Hare is not domesticated.
6 – Milk Bush – a kind of short tree used for hedges and as a food for animals.
7 – Muskrat -= is a kind of big rabbit type animal native to North America
8 – Skunk is a large squirrel type animal
